T-BALL DIVISION

  1. T-Ball is a non-competitive division. Individual statistics, game scores, and standings are not maintained. Focus at this level should be on hitting, catching & throwing.
  2. All players aged four (4), five (5) and six (6) are eligible for T-Ball.
  3. Length of Game: As many innings that can be played in 45 minutes, 4 innings max.
    1. All games MUST end at the time specified in the schedule.
  4. No more than three adult coaches (1 manager and 2 coaches) and one volunteer umpire shall be on the playing field defensively at any time. These coaches can help to properly position players in the field.
  5. No more than three adult coaches (1 manager and 2 coaches) are allowed on the playing field during the offensive half of an inning. Two of those adults can be base coaches (although players can be base coaches as long as they wear a protective helmet). One adult should be assisting at the plate by placing the ball on the tee.
  6. At no time during the game should the adults interfere with the play, whether on offense or defense.
  7. There must always be one adult in the dugout during the duration of the game (a team parent is eligible).
  8. All players on the roster must bat during their offensive half of the inning.
    1. Players will hit off a tee (no coach pitch).
    2. Batter shall not throw the bat after hitting.  The bat should be dropped.
    3. No players are allowed in an “on deck” circle.  All players must remain in the dugout. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND MUST BE ENFORCED.
  9. Once a ball is hit into play (foul balls, whether in the air or on the ground do not count) the batter will run to first base.
    1. There are no strikeouts. If the batter hits the tee with the bat causing the ball to fall from the tee, or if the ball only travels a very short distance (less than 15 feet), the ball is foul.
    2. Bunting is not allowed.
    3. Base stealing is not allowed.
    4. Leading off is not allowed.
    5. Outs will not be counted, but if a player is either thrown or tagged out, they do not continue to run the bases.  The player that is either thrown or tagged out will return to the dugout.
    6. As each batter hits, players will move up one base at a time.  When the last batter comes up to bat, that batter and all the base runners will come home.
    7. There will be no doubles, triples or home runs, regardless of how far the ball is hit.
  10. All roster players will be assigned a defensive position on the field.
    1. Players MUST be rotated so that each player has an opportunity to play every position.
    2. Outfielders must play on the grass of the outfield and not on the dirt of the infield.
    3. Before every batter hits, all players should get into their ready position with hand and glove ready and watch the batter.
    4. A catcher will not be used during the game.  All players will play in the field.
    5. Infield positions will be as follows:
    6. Pitcher – only ONE, First base, Second base, Third base & Shortstop
    7. All remaining players will be in the outfield – which is ON the grass
